Tai Chi Chuan

If you’re looking for a form of exercise that can relax your body and is good for the mind, then Tai Chi could be for you. Tai chi originated in China and is one of the most effective exercises for the health of the mind and body. Although mastering tai chi is a lifelong endeavor, tai chi can be easy to learn and you can quickly experience its health benefits. Tai chi, also called tai chi chuan, is non-competitive and self-paced. Tai chi doesn’t require any special equipment and is inexpensive.

Who can do tai chi?

Because Tai chi puts minimal stress on the muscles and is low impact, it is generally safe for all ages and fitness levels. Because of this it may be suitable if you’re an older adult who would otherwise may not exercise.

For those interested in learning and practicing tai chi in Cebu, Chu Un Temple offers tai chi sessions every Wednesday from 6:00 pm to 7:00 pm. Although admission is free, we encourage a small donation to pay for costs such as electricity, venue, as well as the instructor’s transportation costs to our venue.
